Hopkinton Murder-Suicide

I spent the day in Hopkinton at the scene of a murder-suicide at 141 Hayward Street. Middlesex County District Attorney Gerard Leone says the homeowner Todd Vogel shot his wife Lori Levangie and then shot himself. Neighbors described the street as a tight-knit lakeside community and said there were no signs of trouble between the couple. Visit the Metrowest Daily News website for more information here.

todd was a cool guy, id be walking past his house and he’d call me over for a beer or two and just hang out for a while and chill in his tanks and my bosses half track which is shown on tv. but overall he was a good guy and he’ll be missed.

I knew Todd however have not seen him in a few years, and the way his neighbors and friends decribe him was much the same as I remember him, kind, smart, goal oriented, and just all around nice guy. I really am shocked to learn of this, it certainly doesn’t fit his character whatsover. I have never met his newlywed wife, but I guess there will always be more questions than answers. I really don’t know, I mean sleepwalking? Maybe caught her coming home late or talking to someone? I really can’t grasp any reasoning here. It just don’t make sense. I would hope the investigators looked closely at his one.
