I had the pleasure of meeting Sheryl and Reed Nixon on assignment recently. If their names sound familiar it may be because vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan mentioned the Nixon family during the recent debate against Vice President Biden.
In 1995 four of the six Nixon children were involved in a car crash leaving Reed and his younger brother Rob paralyzed. The community pulled together to help the family meet their needs and it was during this time that the Romneys reached out with both emotional and financial support to the Nixon family.
Sheryl and Reed Nixon were extremely inspirational during their interview with Brad Petrishen of the Metrowest Daily News and it was nice to spend some with them and snap a few pictures.
